‘Partitalia Academy’ kicks off in September with a series of free webinars
MILAN, 8 September 2020 - Partitalia srl, an Italian ICT company established in 2001, manufactures and markets smart cards, tags and RFID readers for distribution throughout Europe. ‘Partitalia Academy’ opens its doors in September 2020 after the summer holidays. This free learning academy offers the opportunity to explore the latest technologies on the market, from IoT (Internet of Things) to IoP (Internet of People).
How the idea was conceived
Like many other companies during the lockdown, Partitalia saw an internal need to organise training courses, which were also attended by some customers and suppliers. The outcome was extremely positive. Thus emerged the need to consolidate specialised skills through appropriate training on various topics related to new technologies. This gave rise to ‘Partitalia Academy’, a new way of interpreting technical expertise by involving partners and experts. The new academy, which will open in late September, is a genuine investment in free training. The invited lecturers, chosen from among industry professionals, will share their know-how, providing insights and new perspectives on technological innovation and market trends.
Events
Specifically, 23 September marks the beginning of the webinar series dedicated to industry, companies and those who wish to stay up-to-date on various topics: the Internet of Things, the Internet of People, blockchain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G and RFID. Events will be held on a monthly basis, and the topics chosen will be discussed in light of this particular historical period, a new technological era affected by high-impact phenomena such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The first online event, entitled ‘IoT Architectures: improving production efficiency in Industry 4.0’ is scheduled for 23 September at 4:00 pm, and will be taught by Alfredo Salvatore, CEO of SensorID, an Italian engineering company based in Campochiaro, Molise.
Alfredo Salvatore, a telecommunications engineer with a degree from the University of Pisa, has 13 years of experience in the sector of new technologies, particularly hardware, firmware and software. He has developed technological innovations applied to industry and medicine, besides being a researcher in computer science at the University of Irvine in California.
Another series of events dedicated to the cards business unit is planned for the first quarter of 2021. It will address the worlds of access control, the hospitality industry, retail and mass-market retail.
