We asked Marco Giuliani, manager of the collection service of Giuliani Environment – a company based in Campobasso and operating in the environmental sector, with many years of experience in the waste sector – to talk to us about the analysis of punctual collection data.
In his work, Marco has followed the introduction of the "Discovery Mobile" bracelet, following all the start-up phases of the construction site, which began after a brief period of training for the operators and after an initial start-up moment of the device.
The advantages of the RFID bracelet: what happens after reading the RFID tag
In particular, we were asked to explain what happens after the "Discovery Mobile" bracelet reads the RFID tag and what are the advantages of the Partitalia technology involved in this process. Marco Giuliani explains it like this:
The advantages of Partitalia's technology are that, once the data collected by the bracelet devices have been taken, these data go to the system. And, not only do they allow you to analyze this data to improve separate waste collection and provide information to the municipal administrations, but also to optimize the work of our staff in terms of timing and logistics.
In fact, the process is structured as follows: after the RFID tag positioned on the bag or on the bin is read, the information is communicated to the cloud server, which sends feedback to the device once the data has been saved. This occurs because the system can be configured remotely via the "Discovery Cloud" portal, from which it is precisely possible to carry out an in-depth analysis of the punctual collection data.
The four key Discovery Mobile features
This process is possible thanks to some important features of “Discovery Mobile”:
- It can be integrated with any software or management system
- He is able to catch the margin of error during grappling
- Minimizes the loss of readings, effectively "forcing" the operator to timely collection
- Hardware and software are connected: data is not deleted from the device until feedback is received from the server.
These specificities make it possible to improve the measurement of RFID waste management and therefore to save time and work organization.
