The GT001 is a “glass tag“, a specialised RFID transponder made from biocompatible glass. This material is transparent, chemically inert, and highly versatile. Cylindrical in shape, it measures 3.85 x 32 mm. Its unique design allows it to adapt to a wide range of contactless RFID applications, particularly within the management of pets, livestock, and laboratory animals.
This glass tag can be applied in several ways: via ingestion, where it’s housed within an easily digestible ceramic bolus; by incorporation into leg rings for poultry; or through injection into the ear lobe. It boasts high resistance, protecting its electronic components from aggressive chemical agents, ensuring excellent readability and outstanding stability across varying temperatures. The GT001 is transparent, available with the SIC279 chip (HDX compatible) in LF (Low Frequency), and can be customised using laser technology.

With an IP68 rating, the GT001 is highly tolerant to dust and completely waterproof. This makes the tag ideal for animal tracking where it comes into contact with liquids. Additionally, its robust and waterproof nature also makes it useful for waste tracking applications.
